Nell Webb
With over 15 years experience working in London primary and secondary schools as a SENCO, Acting Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead, I have a detailed understanding of supporting students in school with a wide range of SEND including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, cerebral palsy, DLD, global developmental delay, emotional-based school avoidance and anxiety disorders. I have a first-hand appreciation of how bewildering and frustrating SEND systems can be and I have helped many families overcome obstacles in order to secure the best educational provision for their children.
I have in-depth knowledge of the complexities of the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process, from understanding the ‘Legal Test’ and regularly submitting successful requests to leading annual review meetings and collaborating with EHCP co-ordinators across the London boroughs.
My advice is based on current best practice and is constantly being updated as I regularly liaise with other SENCOs across London schools, Educational Psychologists, dyslexia specialists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and many other SEND professionals.
I have lived in London all my life. I have an English Literature BA (Hons) degree from Oxford University, MA (Oxon), MA (Lond), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Co-ordination (NASENCo).
I have two children who both attended primary and secondary schools in London.
